Thittam - Sanitation for a healthy society
The article 'Thittam' written by Mr. G. Lakhshimpathy, Director, SBM - Tamil Nadu first appeared in Yojana (Tamil) magazine in November 2019. The main theme of the article is how village level field functionaries such as motivators, Anganwadi workers, teachers, primary health centre (PHC) doctors and village health nurses (VHN) made Swachh Bharat a people's movement, contributing to the success of the campaign across the State.
As a part of the nationwide week-long behaviour change sanitation campaign - Gandagi Mukt Bharat’ (GMB), the District Administration of Kupwara in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) has launched the campaign in all its Blocks.
