Swach Bharat: Vision to Mission
This document is based on the inputs gleaned through Sustainable Sanitation Alliance members and secondary research on Swachh Bharat Mission. The purpose of this document is to help ISC inform the Government sanitation schemes at the national and state levels, and examine the significance of sustainability, knowledge flows, community led approaches, sanitation technology, media, and financial innovations.
The Union Territory of Puducherry is planning to set up a Gram Panchayat (GP) level committee in each of its 98 GPs. The role of this committee is to monitor sustainability of its open defecation free (ODF) status.

In order to help adolescent girls and women overcome their hesitation in talking openly about menstruation and at the same time maintain hygiene during their periods, the district administration of Nainital organized Menstrual Hygiene Day at Government Primary School in Hathikhal Gram Panchayat of Haldwani Block in Nainital district of Uttarakhand on 26th May, 2019.
